Railway Barracks Terms and Conditions

  1. Entry into the Railway Barracks is conditional upon full accommodation payment prior to check in. The Barracks do not assume responsibility for ensuring your guests turn up and therefore no refunds will be given where bookings have been paid for and less than the number of people on the invoice use beds. Deposits for full cancellations can be refunded but only if at least 7 days written notice prior to the event is given, else the deposit will be forfeited.

  2. The person named on the booking must be the person to sign all paperwork and be the person to receive the keys. Alternatively, guests must advise the Railway Barracks if a third person or nominee will check in on their behalf.

  3. Rates do not include any additional charges, for example but not limited to; meals, transfers or any incidentals that may occur, inclusive of GST.

  4. Due to fire regulations, management must be aware of the number of guests in each room and/or the number of attendees for events in the Hall. (Maximum 100). Should the emergency services be called out, the cost of them attending will be charged to the guests, including GST.

  5. The penalty for improper use of a fire extinguisher is $210. This made up of $160 to replace the extinguisher and $50 for cleaning.

  6. All rooms inside are strictly NON-SMOKING. Smoking is only allowed outside. Please be responsible and use the sand buckets provided for butts to minimise the risk of fire. A fee of $50 to cover cleaning costs will be charged for butts that are found outside of the buckets.

  7. Rooms can accommodate 1, 2, 3, or 4 guests. Extra guests per room on a $2300 per night rate will not be charged but this is entirely at the discretion and responsibility of the person on the booking.

  8. Standard payments accepted are Cash or via Bank Transfer.

  9. Standard check in time is 4:00pm, standard check out time is 10:00am. Early check in or late check out up to 12pm is at the discretion of the Railway Barracks and must be requested as a minimum, the night before check out. Late check out after 12pm will incur the full rate of one (1) nights’ accommodation.

  10. Guests MUST ring the Railway Barracks prior to the check-in date to arrange key collection.

  11. If in the course of a guests stay, and contributable to any guests or visitors of the Railway Barracks and, any unforeseen expenses that become apparent, the guests will be charged an amount, appropriate to the expense, at a rate determined by the Railway Barracks. This includes but is not limited to charges for extra beds that were used above the number of people that were stated in the booking/invoice.

  12. Property degradation (which includes nonremovable drink, food and other stains on bed linen, as well as for example vomit and bodily waste in all areas of the property) will incur a AUD$200.00 fee, in addition to any professional floor cleaning charges at cost, plus a daily rate tariff equal to the daily tariff that the Railway Barracks would charge if the property was available to be let or any other rate that may be agreed by management, in accordance with business demand on the day, until the property has been returned to its lettable condition.

  13. Cost of repair or replacement for general damage or theft of Railway Barrack’s property and any problem sufficient to result in the property being withdrawn from its availability to be let will be borne by guests. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.

  14. Guests must not use any tape or adhesives on the floor or walls of the Railway Barracks as this can cause damage and could result in cost of repairs being charged.

  15. Plastic or non-biodegradable confetti is prohibited and if used will incur a $100 charge for removal.

  16. Guests must not bring in furniture from outside or any other furniture or items that could scratch or damage the wooden floor, this includes but is not limited to hard soled high heeled shoes. If damage occurs to the floor, the cost of repair is currently $350 and will be charged to the guest. General wear and tear is excepted.

  17. If guests wish to take advantage of the outside speakers, music must be played at a reasonable level. Due to NSW Noise Restriction Regulations outside music must be stopped by midnight on Friday, Saturday and the day immediately before a public holiday and 10PM all other days. Music can continue to be played inside the property after these times with the doors and windows closed and/or with music turned down. If the police are called out, warnings are not heeded and penalties are received, these will be on charged to guests.

  18. For safety and insurance reasons, all pets are strictly forbidden inside the Railway Barracks. If this condition is violated and pets are brought in anyway, the Railway Barracks will not accept responsibility if injury or death occurs to the pet.

  19. The Railway Barracks is not responsible for any damages or loss to guests’ goods or valuables during their occupancy at the property.

  20. The Railway Barracks will not assume liability for injury when excessive alcohol has been consumed, nor any liability for alcohol that has been illegally provided to minors by guests.

  21. The Railway Barracks is based in a semirural area and guests are advised that it is possible that creatures such as but not limited to snakes, spiders, ticks and wasps inhabit the local area. Whilst the Railway Barracks do fumigate, we do not guarantee that the property will be completely pest free. Guests are urged to take care, particularly in the grounds. The Railway Barracks will not take any responsibility for any guests injured by the local rural animals.

Please utilise outdoor settings as much as possible and also open windows to increase ventilation to minimise the risk of spread of Covid 19.
